Bookworms

Just how lovely is this?! I seem to be scoring a few mother purring moments lately. This was certainly another one! Nine had set herself up in a prime position this morning, all set to make serious inroads into her boxed set of books. She must have exuded such pleasure and contentment that Seven just had to follow. She grabbed her new boxed set, and perched up beside Nine.

And I just couldn't resist the photo.

Do you remember the special pleasure of a boxed set of books? I recall one I had of Noel Streatfield. Pulling the books out, holding them, and easing them firmly back into their home was like sneaking a look at a little secret goodie I had stashed away that was mine, and only mine. Bliss!

Boxed sets must  still hold special appeal, and I'm a wee bit delighted and amused by that.

Do you recall boxed sets from your childhood? Or stepping forward into the now, are your children entranced by them as much as mine?
